Reports Say Garza Traded To Rangers For Mike Olt And C.J. Edwards

According to Rosenthal, the Cubs will receive Triple-A infielder Mike Olt, Single-A right-handed pitcher C.J. Edwards and a third player that has yet to be named. Garza is 6-1 this year with a 3.71 ERA in 11 starts for the Cubs this season.

Can’t see how this isn’t a win for the Cubs. More arms, CJ Edwards seems to be the centerpiece of this deal and more potential in the field with guys like Olt, who is a top 50 prospect (the vision/concussion issues are a slight concern). Just keep getting younger and building resources. Next up Gregg and Soriano. Moving in the right direction
